Recommended Reading: Updates From Our Israel Mission

by

Earlier this week, we shared a blog post by IAN Managing Director Geri Palast as she left to lead a progressive women leaders’ study trip to Israel.

The mission, a joint effort with the National Council for Jewish Women (NCJW), is comprised of women who are activists within LGBT, unions, immigration, reproductive rights and violence prevention groups. The participants are now well into an eight-day jam-packed itinerary that will examine Israel through a gender-specific lens. We’ll have another update from Geri shortly, but in the meantime, we encourage you to read the following blog updates from NCJW CEO Nancy Kaufman who provided in-depth updates on the group’s activities on day one and two.

Additionally, Choice USA CEO and Washington Institute panelist Kierra Johnson is authoring daily blog posts from Israel. You can read her opening message here, a post detailing her first full day here, as well as her most recent message on radical modesty, here.

You can also keep up with the group in real time, by following them on Twitter at #womeninisrael.
